We’re always looking for inspiration for our latest email and landing page templates. There are a few companies in particular that we subscribe to for some epic emails.

Litmus

Litmus

No surprise that Litmus makes the list. In fact it would be a bit troublesome if they didn’t, given that they test emails for a living! Although these emails are visually appealing, the code is some of the best in the business. Even our developers have nothing bad to say about it, which basically never happens. And what’s fun is they often have little hidden Easter Eggs in the emails if you know where to look!

Tesla

Tesla

Did you know Tesla uses Marketo? At least that’s what this job posting would suggest… anyways, their emails show how simple and clean can be very sophisticated. Always responsive, always clear calls-to-action. They are a good example of how images can bring your copy to life.

FreshBooks

FreshBooks

This is the first of two Canadian companies that made our list. FreshBooks, known for their cloud-accounting software, does some great emails. They use fun, interesting animations in their banners to change it up from all the other serious stuff you get in your inbox. Their emails are seamless when you move from the desktop to mobile, they look just as good regardless of the platform you’re on.

Shopify

Shopify

Shopify is also Canadian, eh? They are all the rage in the eCommerce space and are fresh off a hot IPO. They’re emails are responsive, fun and not only do they have very good layouts, but appealing calls-to-action. Shows how clever headlines that illicit click-through-rates and boost the conversion of your emails.

Uber

Uber

We just wrote about Uber last week so we couldn’t leave them out. If one thing separates Ubers emails from the rest, its their amazing use of animation. Animated GIFs are all the rage these days people. We’ll be doing another blog post on those shortly.

That’s it!
